    Safety and management come first. Behavior modification only begins once the situation is controlled.

    Safety & Risk Assessment

    We assess the type, severity, and triggers of the aggression, plus your dog's bite history. This determines the management and equipment needed before any training begins.

    Management Plan

    We put immediate management in place — leashes, gates, muzzles, and environmental controls — to prevent incidents and reduce rehearsal of the aggressive response.

    Behavior Modification

    Using structured desensitization and counter-conditioning, we change your dog's emotional response to triggers. Aggression is emotional before it is physical.

    Handler Coaching

    You learn to read body language, manage triggers, and respond safely. Aggression cases live or die on handler skill and consistency.

    Ongoing Reassessment

    We reassess at every session and adjust the plan honestly. If progress stalls, we say so — and refer to a veterinary behaviorist when appropriate.

    Aggression cases demand strict adherence to the plan. One unmanaged incident can undo weeks of progress.

    • Follow the management plan strictly — no exceptions, no shortcuts
    • Use the recommended safety equipment (muzzle, harness, gates) consistently
    • Never put your dog in situations we have not cleared for their level
    • Practice the assigned drills between sessions at safe distances
    • Report any incidents or warning signs immediately and honestly
    • Accept that progress is gradual and setbacks are part of the process

    • Dogs with a serious bite history may always need management protocols
    • We will not take a case we believe is beyond safe, ethical training — we will refer you out
    • Outcomes vary between dogs even with identical protocols

    Pricing Guidance

    Starting Rate$175 / hour

    Aggression training follows our private training rate of $175 per hour. Additional fees may apply for travel or extended sessions. Severe cases may require more frequent sessions, which we discuss during your consultation.

    We do not sell fixed package prices. Aggression work is scoped to the dog's risk profile and your goals — you pay for sessions you actually need.
