Private Dog Training

Private Dog Training in Las Vegas

01 — Audience

Who This Is For

Private training is built for owners who need focused, individualized instruction rather than a one-size-fits-all group class.

  • Owners of reactive, aggressive, or high-drive dogs needing one-on-one attention
  • First-time owners overwhelmed by a challenging dog they cannot manage
  • Households where group classes failed or were not a safe fit
  • Handlers who want a structured, in-home program tailored to their environment
  • Owners committed to practicing between sessions and following a clear plan

02 — Behaviors Addressed

Behaviors Addressed

  • 01Leash pulling, reactivity, and overexcitement on walks
  • 02Boundary pushing, door dashing, and poor impulse control
  • 03Reactivity to guests, dogs, or environmental triggers
  • 04Mild aggression or resource guarding that needs structured intervention
  • 05Anxiety, lack of focus, and unreliable obedience under distraction
  • 06High-drive dogs (working and protection breeds) needing an outlet

  • 03 — Training Process

    Training Process

A structured, repeatable process — not a generic template. Every plan is shaped by your dog and your goals.

    01

    Consultation

We discuss your dog's history, the behaviors you want to change, and your goals. This shapes a realistic, individualized plan — no generic templates.

    02

    In-Home Sessions

One-on-one sessions in your home and neighborhood where the behaviors actually happen. We build clear communication, structure, and consistent boundaries.

    03

    Handler Coaching

You learn the mechanics — timing, positioning, and timing of reinforcement. The dog improves because you become a clearer, more consistent handler.

    04

    Between-Session Practice

Each session ends with a short, specific practice plan. Progress depends on the work you do between sessions, not the time we spend together.

    04 — Owner Responsibilities

    Owner Responsibilities

Training works when the work continues after we leave. Your commitment between sessions is what produces change.

    • Attend sessions consistently and arrive ready to work
    • Practice the assigned drills between sessions — usually 10–15 minutes daily
    • Follow the management and safety protocols we agree on
    • Communicate setbacks honestly so the plan can be adjusted
    • Keep realistic expectations about timelines and outcomes

    05 — Safety Considerations

    Safety Considerations

Safety is the priority. We work under threshold and never flood or force a dog.

    • Sessions are structured around your dog's threshold — we do not flood or force
    • Reactive and aggressive cases begin with management before training
    • Muzzle training is recommended for dogs with a bite history (see our aggression page)
    • Children and other pets are managed during sessions to keep everyone safe
    • You may pause a session at any time if you feel unsafe or your dog is over threshold

    06 — Realistic Limitations

    Realistic Limitations

Honesty matters. We will not promise outcomes we cannot deliver.

    • Progress depends on the dog, the environment, and your daily practice — not on session time alone
    • We do not promise instant results or guaranteed behavior changes
    • Some behaviors are managed, not eliminated — safety comes first
    • Severe aggression or bite-history cases may require a veterinary behaviorist referral
    • Results vary between dogs even with identical protocols
